The core business of KGHM Polska Copper S.A. is the production of copper and silver. Over the last several years copper production has stabilised at a level of 500 - 550 thousand tonnes annually. The copper produced by KGHM is offered to customers mainly in the following forms: refined copper (cathodes), copper wire rod (for the production of cables and wires) and round billets.
Copper cathodes
Copper is used mainly in the construction, electrical and electronics industries, as well as in transportation. It is the cheapest material having the characteristic of drawability, or ease of malleability and wire rod casting, as well as being a good electrical conductor.

KGHM Polska Copper S.A. is the sixth-largest producer of electrolytic copper in the world. The main customers of KGHM are Germany, France, the Czech Republic and China.
Round billets
Each year the Company produces over 1 200 tonnes of refined silver. Silver is sold in the form of bullion (bars) and as granulate.
Silver is used not only in jewelry, but also in the electronics, electrical and photographic industries. Silver is traded on several global forward markets, such as the LBM.
Refined silver bars
KGHM Polska Copper S.A. is the second-largest producer of refined silver in the world. The main customers of Polish silver are the United Kingdom, Germany and Belgium.
